The last three weeks have gone by much too quickly. A recovery week after Springfield, a week of regular training, and a taper week. I can't believe the Route 66 is just about here! I am looking forward to it but, as usual, with "marathon trepidation." It's still tough to get my mind around 26 miles of running, but it's maybe a little easier this time since I just experienced it a few weeks ago. This morning's run was, again, quiet and uneventful--which is a good thing. I noticed a nagging ache on the top of my left foot, which I have felt since Springfield. Not sure what that is, but it comes and goes. Hopefully on Sunday, it will be in the "go" part of the cycle. Otherwise, I think I'm as ready as I can be. Activity
